Doing this whis will allow me to reclaim the cigarette lighter socket on the dash that the Blackvue is now hogging full time. I will then plug the Blackvue to this socket. I've also purchased a cigarette lighter plug that I will power from the fusebox. It is rated at 6 amps since the Blackvue maximum input amp rating is 6.5amps.
MISCELLANEOUS: I've purchased an AC to DC power adapter so that I can charge it at home in the garage if need be. LED lights provide charge level and charge status.
